In her maiden appearance in a competitive Table Tennis Tournament, young Tharushi Dilesha kept Mahamaya Balika Vidyalaya, Kadawatha flag flying high as she emerged winner in the Girls under 18 competition at the 2018 Open Invitation Table Tennis Tournament worked off at the Pugoda Sports Hall recently.

Promising paddler Dilesha aims to represent the country one day

This young lass never showed any nervousness in her first appearance as she displayed a high quality of racquet work. It was a treat to watch her smashes and placing the ball in different speeds and angles.

Seventeen year old Dilesha made her opponents to work hard in returning her services and smashes which kissed the table surface with tremendous power. At this competition Dilesha stood high above the others in her age group with the quality of TT she displaye..

Tharishi Dilesha said that she was able to reach great heights as a result of the support extended by the Principal of the Kadawata Mahamaya Balika Vidyalaya, Mrs. Pushpika Banduwansa.
