Special events lined up to mark 85th anniversary of Moratu Maha Vidyalaya
View(s):A series of special events have been lined up to commemorate the 85th anniversary of Moratu Maha Vidyalaya from January 18 – 19 at the premises of the school and the Moratuwa Buddhist Hall.
These events have been organised by the family of M.J.C. Fernando who donated his land for the construction of the school.
Manoj Fernando, a senior lecturer at the Peradeniya University and an old boy of the school, will deliver a special address at the commemoration ceremony.
Special events include a pirith ceremony, almsgiving ceremony, and a blood donation camp which has been organised by the Old Boys Association of the school.
