Ruhunu Uni symposium on agriculture and environment next month
View(s):The Ruhunu University will hold its international symposium on agriculture and environment (ISAE 2019) at the Blue Water, Wadduwa on February 28.
The structure of the symposium will include networking and complementary sub-themes including a parallel session dedicated to the climate-change impacts on fisheries and coastal resources.
The ISAE 2019 annual congregation platform aims to explore the possibilities of establishing a lasting network dedicated to the sectoral needs of agriculture in the country.
The thematic areas will include networking for smart agriculture as the main theme, crop production technologies, forestry and agro-forestry, livestock production, development and expansion, fisheries and aquaculture, agribusiness and marketing, food and nutrition, soil and water, agricultural engineering, bio-resources and environment, climate change and impacts, indigenous knowledge explorations, and law and governance.
Both local and foreign stakeholders in the agriculture sector will participate presenting their experiences, case-specific issues, views and ideas. -CC
