Muslim Ladies College, felicitates 23 A/L achievers
View(s):Muslim Ladies College, Bambalapitiya felicitated 23 achievers from the batch of 2012 Advance Level students at the College Hall. Chief guest of the ceremony Vice Chancellor of the South Eastern University Prof. S.M. Mohamed Ismail praised the MLC Principal Dr. Hajarjahan Munsoor and staff to achieve 23 students. He said that the children are lucky to be educated in this country under Sri Lanka’s free education policy and other benefits.
The guest speaker former Head of the Geography, University of Paradeniya Prof. M.S. Mookiah made a request that the parents should give their children good education. “All parents are thinking of making their children a Doctor, Engineer and other field. Children should study international languages and importantly English.”
Principal of the MLC Dr. Hajarjahan Munsoor said: “I and the teachers did all what is right for the children. But at the same time parents should also monitor their children’s education.” Chief Guest Prof, S.M. Mohamed Ismail distributed gold medals and awards to the achievers. Deputy Principals, Vice Principal, teachers, parents and students were present at this ceremony. – NA
