As a parent of a child who has just sat for their O/Levels, this is only the first of a series of key decisions that will determine their future. The question with everyone in your situation is thinking, of course, ‘what next? And it’s a decision that will affect the rest of your child’s life, so you want to get it right.

In such circumstances with many options available, it’s tempting to pick the best choice, which will allow them to compete for jobs and prosperity in a rapidly changing and challenging world economy.

As time and opportunity are crucial and important aspects in your child’s education, your delay as a parent is only an opportunity lost to your child for a valuable education as many a student has lost time, or simply lost heart waiting for their results. The traditional route of education could eat up almost three years from embarking on the course to getting results. At least two years of study means two years of school and tuition fees and still no promise of a definite place at university. Even with selection to university, chances are, your child may not be able to pursue his/her education according to their choice.

Given the importance of a timely solid education Canada offers a qualification valued around the world. Canada’s high academic standards and rigorous quality controls mean that your child will be earning a high-quality education that will open doors for a bright future and benefit his/her career over the long term.

It is timely for all O/Level students to receive a world class Canadian education through the Canadian Transfer Programme at ANC Education which allow students to access to nearly 100 universities & colleges in Canada including top universities such as the University of Toronto, University of British Colombia, Fairleigh Dickinson University, York University, Simon Fraser University, Ryerson University, University of Prince Edward Island, Concordia University, Seneca College, Medicine Hat College, Centennial College to name a few.

There are nearly 400+ degree programmes students can start in Sri Lanka and graduate from a prestigious university in some of the more popular fields like Medicine, Engineering, Law, Business, Information Technology and Psychology. Students can complete one or two years of undergraduate study in Sri Lanka, and then apply towards a degree programme in a Canadian university to complete their education with more than 40% of the cost saved as a transfer student completing more than half of the degree here in Sri Lanka. Students also have the opportunity to join with pending O/ Level results. For more information on Scholarships please contact 0777 484484

The quality of education and living standards in Canada are amongst the highest in the world. The cost of living and tuition fees for international students are generally lower than in other countries such as the US ,UK, Australia and New Zealand. The United Nations consistently ranks Canada as one of the best places in the world to live. As an international student in Canada, your child will enjoy all of the same freedoms which protect Canadians – respect for human rights, equality, and a stable and peaceful society.

As a full time student it is also possible to work and there are job opportunities on and off campus. A work Permit can be obtained for students to work off campus which they could work during regular academic sessions and during scheduled full time breaks. (Winter, summer holiday and spring break) This will allow your child to fund their education or accommodation which will reduce the burden to you as a parent. Students with Canadian credentials and Canadian work experience may apply for permanent residency without having to leave Canada.
