Thousands gather to watch Kelani Perahera

The annual Kelaniya Rajamaha Vihara Perahera concluded yesterday, with thousands of people gathering on both sides of the roads near the historic temple to witness the grand colourful procession. Yesterday’s final perahera, the 99th since the tradition began, was preceded by minor peraheras on the previous two days. Pix by Eshan Fernando.
