Freedom of choice, a value extolled in the United States, is extended to INTI students, with over 300 options by which they could fulfill their higher education dreams.

INTI’s extensive list of colleges and universities in the US for credit transfer and its track record of sending the most number of students from Malaysia to America for higher education means that its American University Programme (AUP) is the most popular programme of its kind in Malaysia. More than 300 US and Canadian universities and several universities in Australia accept credits earned through INTI’s AUP.

INTI students receive the largest amount of US scholarships in total each year, and this includes offers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Drake University, University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Oklahoma State University, University of Central Oklahoma, Illinois Institute of Technology and Iowa State University, to name a few. Students transferring from INTI also pay in-state tuition fees at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, University of Central Arkansas and Winona State University.

Prestigious US institutions accepting INTI’s credits include the University of Michigan, Purdue University, University of Wisconsin Madison, Northwestern University and Indiana University Bloomington. University options available to students include Ivy League universities such as Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania and Brown University where INTI students have successfully pursued studies in the Sciences, Social Science and Actuarial Science. Thanks to the large variety of specializations and a smooth transition from the AUP at INTI to the universities in North America, alumni like Lim Guan You and Lee Chia Lei faced minimal obstacles on their way to academic success.

“The numerous workshops organized by INTI’s Center of American Education (CAE) during the course of my studies and prior to my departure have benefitted me immensely by preparing me for life in the US. Additionally, INTI had ensured that every course credit I attained in AUP was successfully transferred so that I could take advanced courses right where I left off,” shared Lim, who studies Electrical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, one of the US Midwest’s top Ph.D.-granting universities.

Lee, who had graduated with a Biomedical Engineering degree from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis and currently works in the US, shares the same sentiments adding that her learning experience was enhanced by the lively campus environment, the friendly INTI community and the many opportunities to pose questions.

INTI’s AUP allows students to complete their first two years in Malaysia, enabling them to save tremendously on the cost of studying for a 4-year American degree. They can also opt to transfer to the US at any point or to complete up to two years of their studies in Malaysia, depending on their major and subject to evaluation and acceptance by the universities.

Given INTI’s strong and long standing ties with US universities, coupled with its alumni’s impressive record of achievements both on and off campus, many universities have accorded exclusive scholarships to INTI students. Academics from US universities also visit INTI to present talks and share their knowledge and experiences with students.

INTI was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation of Achievement in Trade (Education) from the US Department of Commerce in 2003 and has since remained as the only college to receive such recognition. The award was earned as the CAE has seen many of its students gain admission to top universities in the United States and Canada. Its highly resourceful and experienced staff and lecturers work tirelessly to ensure students benefit from international experience, innovative teaching methods and individualized grooming. With thousands of students having passed through its doors, it continues to maintain an excellent track record of preparing students enrolled in AUP for their academic future overseas.

Students of INTI benefit not only from the over 25 years of experience and strong track record that INTI offers, but also gain from the global synergy and resources that Laureate International Universities provides. INTI is part of Laureate International Universities, the world’s largest private education network with a presence in 29 countries, with more than 60 accredited campus-based and online universities and 130 campuses, serving over 740,000 students globally.
