BCAS Campus marked another significant milestone in the history when BCAS Wayamba Campus in Kurunegala conducted its maiden Awards Ceremony of Intensive Bridging Programme, commonly known as IBP. This award ceremony was held to honour students of four batches who successfully completed a fulltime course mainly IT and English together with personality development, soft skills etc.

The event took place on 1st of June 2013 at the Kurunegala YMBA auditorium. It was indeed a flamboyant event comprised of an exciting mini concert which invariably proved the high level of performance of the students and their communicative competency in English and was highly commended by the chairman of BCAS, Mr. MM Abdur Rahuman who graced this memorable occasion as the Chief Guest and by department Heads as well as representatives of BCAS campuses in Dehiwala, Wellawatta, Kandy and Batticaloa together with special guests, parents and well-wishers.

Principals of leading schools in the city Kurunegala graced the occasion as special guests.

IBP has been widely accepted course of study at BCAS campuses in Sri Lanka from its inception in the year 1999. BCAS Campus with its motto “Building Careers Transforming Lives” is well recognized for various degree and vocational programmes such as Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, LLB, Business Management, Biomedical Science, Information Technology etc.

Prime objective of IBP is to create a beginner with knowledge coupled with thorough practical skills in Information Technology, Web Designing, Hardware & Networking, plus a person skillfully applying English as a communication tool breaking all language phobias through teaching techniques unique at BCAS Campus.

BCAS which is known for its academic quality has been testified by Edeexcel UK with awards of “Performance Excellence” in Sri Lanka for two consecutive years in 2010 and 2011.BCAS is also an ISO 9001-2008 quality certified organisation.

Chairman Mr. Rahuman and Mr. Fouzer, the Chief Operations Manager while addressing the gathering commended the academic non-academic staff for their untiring effort and hard work without which such a successful event would not have been possible, in his address.
