General Udumalagala, the President of the National Mountain Biking Association. “It is also commendable that local governments are making lanes for cycling, so now is the time to contribute by driving mountain biking to greater heights.” He further said

With this notion, NMBA has drawn up a constructive plan to go countrywide with a calendar of seven events in seven locations with the patronage of SLR Army Gamunu Watch and the first event to be conducted at the new track made at Army Gamunu Watch camp at Non Pareil Estate in Belihuloya.

The site is surrounded by the “worlds end” mountains with natural ponds and streams an ideal tourist attraction, which is part and partial of the move to engage the Tourists Board of Sri Lanka as biking for trekking and sport becoming very popular in the world.
