Thanuka Dabare, with a top score of 58, and Asela Sigera, who backed him up with 50 runs, steered the CCC SC Under 14 ‘A’ team to a comfortable 62 run win over Panadura CC, at the latter’s ground recently.

In the second Under 14 encounter too, the CCC SC ‘B’ team beat the hosts’ ‘A’ team by 71 runs.

In another fixture at Kotte, the Asoka De Silva School of Cricket posted a six-wicket win over CCC SC.

The heroes for Asoka De Silva SC were Pavith Janandana, who turned in a fine double with the ball to capture four wickets for14 and make a top score of 64 not out, while Duminda Silva weighed in with 50.
