Rajasinghe students participate in Student Parliament

The inaugural session of the Student Parliament of Rajasinghe Maha Vidyalaya, Bope, Padukka, was held on 19 May 2025 at the Old Parliament Chamber of the Presidential Secretariat where Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was the Chief Guest.
It was conducted as part of the ongoing Student Parliament Programme, organised by the Presidential Secretariat and the Parliament’s Communications Department.
Addressing the student parliamentarians, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya spoke on the importance of nurturing active and responsible citizens to sustain a democratic society. She noted that initiatives such as student parliaments are essential in fostering democratic values among youth.
She responded to several questions raised by the students.
