Kaushal Silva slammed an unbeaten 155 along with Dimuth Karunaratne who made a 115 and Thilina Kandamby (68 n.o.) and helped SSC end day one on a formidable 368 for 3 against Tamil Union in their Premier league encounter at the SSC ground.
Kaushal’s knock comprised 20 boundaries and a six while Dimuth had 15 boundaries and a six. The pair put on a 209 run partnership for the third wicket. It was followed by Kaushal and Thilina being associated in an unbroken stand of 127 runs for the fourth wicket.
Left arm pacie Vishwa Fernando ended with an impressive figure of 5 for 35 as he along with Tharanga Lakshitha and Upul Indrasiri helped Bloomfield to bundle out Colts for a paltry score of just 99 runs in the match played at Reid Avenue.

Bloomfield in their turn guided by half tons from Nadeera Nawela and Madawa Warnapura ended day one with a score of 199 for 3.
At the NCC ground Galle CC too were bowled out for a low score of 111 by NCC. They were guided by openers Upul Tharanga and Niroshan Dickwella who put on an opening stand of 224 to end the day 305 for 4.
Moors SC taking the first lease of the wicket was restricted to a score of 240. Harsha Cooray made a top score of 67 for Moors SC at Braybrooke Place. In reply Panadura SC were 58 for 3.
A ton by Dhananjaya de Silva and half tons by Udara Jayasundara and Ian Daniel saw Ragama CC end their innings on 366 against Lankan CC at the FTZ ground in Katunayake.
Saracens SC were bowled out for 155 while Army ended the day on 104 for 2 in the match which got off to a late start at Panagoda.
