The annual sports-meet of the girls’ section of Hejaaz International School was held, for the 10th consecutive occasion, at the Henry Pedris Park in Colombo recently.
Bathutha House emerged champions while Sumaiya Waais, Amathul Azari, Thaleem Rizvi, Kasuni Ilangage, Shamha Fouz and Nasra Ameer emerged track champions of their respective age categories.
The day was filled with lots of activities including a fascinating drill display. The Chief Guest for the event was Panchalika Kulathunga, the Schools Development Manageress of Cambridge International Examinations for Sri Lanka. She was welcomed by Hejaaz International Principal, Zarina Mohideen Hizbullah, Head Mistress Hasna Iflal and teachers-in-charge Surangani Weerasinghe and Rizvia Thaha. Padma Gamachchige, the Physical Training Instructress and the entire staff of Hejaaz International were key figures in holding a perfect sports-meet.
