Jayakody and Fernando steal limelight
View(s):Supun Jayakody of Ceylon Agro and Oshada Fernando of Kanrich Finance hogged the limelight at the ongoing DSI-Avi MCA ‘F’ division 30-over League Cricket tournament that was continued at various venues in the metropolis last weekend.
Jayakody’s hurricane 110 not out off 59 balls, studded with 11 fours and 7 massive sixes propelled Ceylon Agro to the weekend’s highest team total – 235 for seven wickets in 30 overs- and a 31-run win over Galadari Hotel.
The weekend’s top bowler was Oshada Fernando, who finished with the brilliant figures of 5 for 6 to spearhead Kanrich Finance’s 99-run win over Softlogic Finance.
