Prince of Wales’ College Moratuwa held a felicitation ceremony to honour some of their past students, who shoulder the distinction of having represented Sri Lanka in sport. The ceremony, led by the principal and staff, was held last Friday (16) at the college auditorium.

Among those who were felicitated were World Carrom Champion Nishantha Fernando and Sri Lanka cricketer Lahiru Thirimanne who were brilliant students of Prince of Wales’ during their schooling days. The other sportsmen to be honoured were Nishantha Van Culymberg, who represented Sri Lanka at the Traditional Wushu World Championship held in China and won two medals. Apart from the three old boys, three present boys who brought honour to their school by representing the country were also recognised.
