2012, organized by the World English-Language Scrabble Players Association (WESPA), which was held in Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

Jayasinghe won 14 out of 24 games, with a margin of 642 and was placed 13th overall. This was his second international award, with the first being the Under-12 Championship at the sixth World Youth Scrabble Championship held in Manila, Philippines, in 2010.
Sri Lanka fielded a team of seven and Lambhotharan Yoganathan and Hayati Rassool, also from Lyceum Wattala, were placed 32nd and 45th, respectively. This tournament attracted 60 players from 11 countries, including the UK, USA, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Trinidad & Tobago and Singapore.
