Therapuththa National School Ambalanthota opened their under 19 cricket season with an innings and 245 run win against Rajapaksa Central College Weeraketiya. This under 19 division three tournament game was played at the UC grounds, Hambantota. Rajapaksa Central electing to bat first were shot out for a paltry 34 runs in 24 overs. Suresh Kodituwakku captured 3 wickets while Sithara Dilanka and Udayan Hansana captured two wickets each.

In reply Therapuththa NS notched up 434 runs in 68 overs. Isuru Madushan scored a quick fire unbeaten 150 in 123 deliveries with 18 boundaries and a six. Skipper Pramod Madushan Liyanagamage scored 72 runs.

Rajapaksa Central were dismissed for 155 runs in their second essay. Bhanuka Wanigasekera was unbeaten on 64 runs while Suresh Kodituwakku captured six wickets for 50 runs.
