Pain reliever Panadol, the leading brand of paracetamol which is a part of health care company  GlaxoSmithKline (GSK),  continued its support at Thalavila and Madu Feasts through Medical and First Aid Camps. In total over 900,000 devotees gathered at both Shrines for the grand celebrations of St. Anne and Our Lady of Madu. Devotees were provided with free health check ups, medical assistance and first aid services on  both locations through fully fledged medical camps sponsored by Panadol, the company said.

The camps were equipped with beds, nebulizers, medical equipment, consultation area and visitors area which offered professional medical services  through a team of consultants. A mobile first aid team provided care and assistance around the clock to the devotees gathered for a period of three days and for medical emergencies, services were arranged to take patients to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Over the past 10 years Panadol has provided these services at main cultural and religious events in Sri Lanka such as the Kandy Esala Perahera, festivals at the Nallur Kovil and during Poson Poya in Anuradhapura, Thanthirimale and Mihintale.
