The UN Clubs of Ladies’ College and Royal College are bringing it back: the BackstrEAT Music Festival 2018.

The fundraising event aims to assist the Keerigala Tamil Maha Vidyalaya in Kuruwita, Ratnapura through its proceeds. Catering to some of the district’s lowest income earners, the school has managed to provide educational opportunities to many underprivileged children living in estate communities since 1927, despite being severely understaffed and having minimal governmental assistance. Currently, however, they are in dire need of funds, primarily to complete the construction of classroom facilities to accommodate their students.

Bearing this goal in mind, the organisers are proud to present Backstreat 2018: The Revival, a night of food and music entertainment which will feature the likes of the Lunatics, Coco, Ama, Roonthaka and many more of Sri Lanka’s trendiest musicians.

To support this initiative join in the fun on October 19 at the Ladies’ College grounds from 5:30 p.m onwards, and experience an event unlike any other.

Tickets are priced at Rs. 800 and available at Embazzy, Tea Avenue, and the Ladies’ College office.
