Yesteryear comedy in DVD

Sri Lanka’s first television comedy programme scripted by Annesly Dias directed by Dr. D. B. Nihalsinghe in DVD format will be a refreshing experience for those who had enjoyed the comedies of ‘Birty, Annesly and Samuel’ on radio and television. The trio was able to revolutionise the meaning of comedy in the history of Sri Lanka broadcasting and established themselves as the most famous voice actors ever in the history of the country.
For decades they managed to make millions of people laugh and their fame never faded. Even today they are regarded as the best role models of comedy and the newcomers always look up to them. Some of their dialogues have even gained proverbial status in the Sinhala language. Their legend keeps them alive in the hearts of millions of fans.
Along with the trio a group of stars Gemunu Wijesooriya, Lionel Ranwala, Wimal Wickremarachchi. Raja Sumanapala and Rathna Sumanapala also features in ‘Vinoda Ranga’.
