The fourth Golden Battle of Ruhuna, a duel between Vijitha Central College Dikwella and Rajapaksha Central College Weeraketiya, will be hosted by Vijitha Central at the Uyanwatta Stadium on March 26 and 27.

Vijitha Central Dikwella

Rajapaksha Central has the advantage of playing in the schools Under 19 division three tournament this season and have the use of the practice nets at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket grounds in Sooriyawewa. Vijitha Central failed to enter a team for the tournament, a decision they may regret. The toss will play a major role as the effects of the three-day game, which will end on Sunday, will tell on the Uyanwatta square. The previous three games were drawn.
Vijitha Central’s Ishan Dilruksha‘s unbeaten 101 stands as the highest individual score by a batsman while Rajapaksha Centrtal’s Charith Sawaththara’s six-wicket haul in the third encounter played at Sooriyawewa is the highest number of wickets taken by a bowler in an innings.
The Vijitha Central team is led by fourth year player Tharindu Sampath Yasarathne, while Bhanuka Wanigasekera leads the Rajapaksha Central team.
