Tibhar boost for Lithmina
View(s):Tibhar Sri Lanka has come forward to sponsor promising table tennis player Lithmina Mahanama for a period of one year. Lithmina of Wesley College, who impressed during the 2012 season at junior and ranking tournaments, will receive sporting gear and this support will further swell depending on his performances during 2013. Lithmina is the one and only pen hold player in the Sri Lanka ranking list and ranked no.3 in the Under 12 age category. He has won the Under 12 title at the All Island Championships, conducted by the North Western Province TT Association recently.
Tibhar is a globally renowned brand for table tennis equipment originating in Germany, and is a leading product used by many international players. W.A. Buddhasiri, the agent for Tibhar products in Sri Lanka, who is also the head coach of the Tibhar Table Tennis Academy and Namal Gunasekara, granted this sponsorship to Lithmina at their recently concluded inter-club tournament where Lithmina won the Under-15 title. – NA
