The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) has been appointed as a partner of the World Brand congress, to be held from November 5-6 in Mumbai.
The World Brand Congress, SLIM said in a statement is a globally recognized gathering of the best brains behind international brands. Over 500 marketers and brand custodians from world renowned organisations of every sector and continent, will gather to discuss driving brand growth with innovative ideas to gain market share and profitability.
The Asia Brand Congress having been held annually for the past 17 years, will be the first time that the Congress has been expanded into a World Congress, to which other countries including Asia will be invited, the statement said.
The World Brand Congress Awards will be held under two categories, namely, Organisational Awards and Individual Awards. The winners’ entries of SLIM Brand Excellence 2008 will be forwarded to the competition as well.
These entries will compete with other entries received from around the world, in the Global Brand Excellence Awards, which is a key awards category in the Organisational Awards. According to the statement the next SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2009, will be held on October 29, at Water’s Edge. The awards will reward outstanding brands and brand custodians.
