US$ 26m US grant to increase schoolchildren’s nutrition
View(s):Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera will enter into Memorandums of Understanding to implement a 5-year programme to increase nutrition levels of schoolchildren, with a US$ 26 million grant from the US Department of Agriculture.
The proposal by Premier Wickremesinghe, as Minister of National Policies Economic Affairs, Resettlement, Rehabilitation & Northern Province Development, was approved by the Cabinet.
