Jaffna University’s Vavuniya campus to become Vavuniya University
View(s):The Cabinet, this week, approved a proposal by Minister of City Planning, Water Supply & Higher Education, Rauff Hakeem, to upgrade the Vavuniya campus as the University of Vavuniya, with plans to conduct courses in the English medium.
Currently, the Vavuniya campus functions as a Faculty of the University of Jaffna, for Business Management and Applied Sciences, under which they have the respective Departments.
Under the Faculty of Business Management, they have Departments of Accounts, Economics and Management, while for Applied Sciences they have Departments of Physics and Biology. – PCK
