Students at ICBT Campus have excelled in Rugby, Athletics and Karate at the recent local and foreign tournaments.
Omalka Gunarathne former Isipathana College and current CR&FC player has been appointed as the Captain National Rugby team for the upcoming tournament Taipei. Omalka is the youngest-ever to Captain the Sri Lanka Rugby team. Omalka is a student at ICBT Campus studying for his Bachelor of Business Management Degree offered by Cardiff Metropolitan University UK. Also making the National Rugby team for the tournament in Taipei is Umesha Madushan from Royal Collage, Colombo 7 and currently a player at Havelock SC is studying Business Management at ICBT Campus.
ICBT Campus student Chithen Gaushika Jayasekera student of HND Software won two Gold Medals received at “Gi Toku Kai Karate Championship 2019 was held on 06th – 07th of April at Gi Toku Kai Hall. Chithen is a student of Thurston College Colombo, aspires to become a software engineer while perusing his Karate career.
Sarangi Silva studying Higher Diploma in Business Management at ICBT Campus equaled personal best of 6.12m to win the Bronze in Women’s Long Jump at Thailand open track and field championship held in May 2019. Sarangi is from Sri Sumangala Balika Vidyalaya Panadura.
ICBT Campus promotes and supports students involved in all sports to achieve academic qualifications through its scholarship programs.
