A few steps from the rugged coastline of Sri Lanka’s deepest south is the magnificent wilderness of the Yala National Park.

Jetwing Yala, on the borders of the sanctuary, has just introduced the new Jetwing Yala tented camp, an experience that melds the best of the terrain’s natural wonder with the luxury of a 5-star property.

Located only 200 metres away from Jetwing Yala, the Jetwing Tented Camp, allows guests to experience the embrace of the signature Jetwing hospitality alongside an opportunity of being ‘one with nature’ in a manner that only camping can ensure.

The rustic design of the 10 tents blends in with the surroundings. Coupled with unbeatable views of the wild southern landscape and immediate access to the ocean, visitors can indulge in the spoils of a beach bar and lounge area manned by internationally-trained lifeguards.

Whether it is an al fresco dinner on the verandah, a cosy meal inside or a romantic dinner on the sand dunes by the sea, the chefs at Jetwing Yala and each tent’s personal butler promise to create something special. Jetwing Yala itself is a short buggy ride away.

Visits to Yala National Park can be arranged with ease when staying at the Tented Camp and guides are on hand to accompany guests. Not far from Yala are the Bundala and Udawalawe National Parks.

Guests at Jetwing Yala can also experience the thrill of diving, snorkeling and shipwreck diving at the Great Basses Reef, along with a range of beach activities and water sports.
