This an excellent educational opportunity offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of CINEC, for suitably qualified students to obtain an internationally recognized degree at an affordable cost.

The Information Systems Programme (IS) is an internationally recognized degree programme for those who want to design and implement effective solutions to meet organizational and management needs for information and decision support. Graduates of the Information Systems programme are well prepared to take a leading role in shaping our information-based future.
This unique degree prepares students to participate in opportunities arising in software systems and services anywhere in the world as it becomes increasingly interconnected.

The Information Technology Programme (IT) is another internationally recognized programme designed for those who are interested in the practice, application and operations of computing and IT.

Whilst covering the role of organizational functions and how IT systems are used in practice, this course is for those who are confident in the digital world. Students will learn about IT implementation and support functions, along with the principles of systems acquisition and development methods.

With a strong emphasis on IT innovations, the course provides the students opportunities to apply technical knowledge in creative and enterprising ways.

The Programmes

The programmes are of three years duration, delivered in full at CINEC. The courses offered at CINEC will be identical to the ones conducted at the School of Technology of the University of Wolverhampton, using identical syllabi, titles, numbers, texts, teaching formats, and evaluation methods and will be subject to the same rigorous UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) standards.
CINEC programs are interchangeable with UK programmes and it is possible for students to study part of the degree course in the UK. The degree certificates are awarded by the University of Wolverhampton, under UK government license to award degrees, and are identical to the ones issued to UK students.

Eligibility

Students who have successfully completed G.C.E Advanced Level (Sri Lanka/London) in any stream or any other equivalent qualifications approved by the university are eligible to apply.

Direct entry to 2nd or 3rd year

Those candidates with qualifications such as HND, BCS, etc, are eligible for entry to year 2 or 3 as the case may be.

The University

University of Wolverhampton is one of the largest and most dynamic universities, right at the heart of UK. According to the education performance statistics, published by Higher Education Funding Council of England, H.E.F.C.E., it was recognized as a “University excelled at providing academic quality and access to all”. Furthermore, the university achieved the “Broad Confidence” Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) score in May 2009 – highest possible rating for teaching provision in a University in the UK. Also, was recognized as the World leading Research – Official Government Rating in March 2009.

CINEC Campus

The facilities available in the CINEC campus are second to none. The students will have the benefit of exceptional teaching, laboratory and computer facilities designed with extensive modern technology. The Campus is also equipped with Wi-Fi. These facilities are supplemented with technical workshops and state-of-the- art simulators which complement the organization as one of leading advanced educational institutions in Sri Lanka. In addition, the Campus is equipped with residential facilities, cafeteria and recreational facilities such as Swimming Pool, Gymnasium and other allied facilities for the use of students and as such is considered a high ranking educational institution in Sri Lanka.
