British Council’s New Country Director for Sri Lanka visits AOD International Design Campus

Marking the strong British design education ties between AOD International design Campus and Northumbria University UK, Keith Davies the new country director for British Council Sri Lanka visited the AOD campus premises recently. Davies visited the campus’ studios and inspected the available facilities together with the immediate past British Council country director for Sri Lanka Tony Reilly who played a key role in maintaining a close relationship between British and Sri Lankan international educators.

Marking the country directors’ visit, the brand new website for Northumbria UK degrees at AOD International Design Campus was launched by the immediate past British Council country director for Sri Lanka Tony Reilly in the presence of the incoming country director Keith Davies. AOD founder Linda Speldewinde and Principal Karen MacLeod were also present at the occasion. The new website can be viewed at www.aod.lk

The new website brings together the wholesome, international design education experience offered at Northumbria University together with their Sri Lankan campus AOD International Design Campus. From the available degrees, programme modules to the details of the international teaching faculty, the new website offers detailed information to a visitor. In addition it also enlists interactive information on the campus alumni association, the school design clubs, industry collaborations and the international study tours.

“The new website responds to our global philosophy for design education with Northumbria UK and presents it to all prospective design students, design industry, parents and even school students who understand the importance of design for the future,” said Karen MacLeod, principal of AOD. “This website was created with a much better understanding of what students are looking in international design education and it’s also made a fun and interactive experience so we invite all young designers to visit us on www.aod.lk”, she added.

Northumbria University together with their Sri Lankan campus AOD International Design Campus has announced their annual September intake for London and local After AL and OL students for the design degrees Fashion, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Motion Graphics & Animation.
