Introduction to the programme
After A/L’s, though you aspire to study in a diverse specialism apart from ICT, many students wish to study for a recognized ICT programme along with an English programme to develop their IT and language skills to prepare them for higher education. This programme is specially designed for those students who wish to follow an ICT programme, but aspire to further their higher education in another field.
The Double Diploma at IDM provides the opportunity to obtain an internationally recognised ICT Diploma along with your chosen specialised Diploma in Law/ Business or Engineering stream. This allows you to enter into higher education with much ease, equipping you with the vital foundation skills required of your chosen field of interest (Law/ Business or Engineering) along with the necessary IT and language Skills.

The programmes are designed and developed by “EdHat International, UK”, and articulated by Universities in the UK and Australia providing an ensured progression path towards Bachelor’s degrees and beyond in your chosen field of interest.
A Unique feature of EdHat International Diploma programmes is that it is developed around three core elements of a foundation programme including General Modules Subject Specific Modules and Communication Skills modules.
The Diploma Programmes are designed, developed with Foundation (Level 03) standards, which provides the perfect foundation level qualification to enter in to Higher Studies in several specializations including Computing, Software Development, Computer Networks, Law, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering Design Management, Mechatronics, Mathematics & statistics, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
International Diploma in Computing
International Diploma in Computing is designed to equip students with the necessary skills in needed to aspire higher education in Computing, Software Development and Computer Networks. The general modules in the programme focus on ICT Fundamentals, Office Automation and Organisational Skills. The Language modules develops the students English Language skills and develops the communication skills of the students with a special focus in preparing for Higher Education. The ICT Specialised subjects allow students to develop the core skills in entering higher education in the field of ICT with a special focus on Software Engineering.
International Diploma in Computing+ 2 Specialised Modules
At successful completion of the International Diploma in Computing Modules, students may then select two (02) additional modules to complete their second specialized Diploma. Your second specialized Diploma will provide you the foundation skills to pursue higher education in the fields of Law, Business or Engineering towards a Bachelor degree in Sri Lanka with universities in the UK.
