TTSC swings into action

As tourism in Sri Lanka steps into its off-season, the Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) will move into action by conducting four sports events during the month of June. The first event on cards will be on June 1 with the 7th Beach Volleyball Championships sponsored by Mt. Lavinia Hotel Group. This event will be held at Club Bentota and Paradise Island in Aluthgama. Jetwing Blue Negombo are the defending champions of this tournament.
Action will then shift to Colombo the very next day with the 31st TTSC Cricket Sixes which will be held on June 2 at Thurstan College ground. This championship where John Keells Hotel Management are the title holders will be sponsored by Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
TTSC invites entries from its membership for both tournaments which can be sent to its president, Dushy Jayaweera, c/o Hemas Air Services, Hemas Building at No. 81, York Street, Colombo 1. Entries for the Cricket Sixes will close on May 20 while May 25 will be the closing date for the Beach Volleyball event. The other two tournaments on cards will be the introductory Beach Soccer on June 22 which will be held at Negombo and the Carrom Championships which will be held on June 29 at Colombo.
