The Colombo Rowing Club stamped their authority on the single scull event of the Open Men’s category, with two of their rowers Sajeev de Silva and Shehan Muthugala claiming gold and silver respectively. The duo then paired up to ride to victory in the double scull race.

The club continued this rich vein of form in the women’s open group, where they duplicated their men’s team medals’ tally with Ishika de Silva winning gold ahead of teammate Samaakyah Gajanayaka in the single scull and de Silva clinching her second gold with Subhashini Kularatne in the double scull.

Sri Lanka Navy dominated the Over 18 category in both the men’s and women’s divisions, securing four golds in the former division and two in the latter.

They notching up victories in the men’s single scull (S. Fonseka), men’s coxless pair (Jan Madushanka, W. Bandara), men’s coxed four (V. Shantha, E. Premakumara, S. Kumara, J. Nishantha, J. Hussain), men’s coxless four (N. Gunawardane, B. Karunarathna, W. Gunarathne, H. Hathurusinghe), the women’s double scull (W. Subhashini, S. Sandamali) and women’s coxed fours (S. Madhubashini, M. Kumarasinghe, G. Sumanathissa, W. Damayanthi, G. Malkanthi).

In the Under 18 category, although Royal College tied with Ananda College in the gold medal column, finishing with two, they had a higher overall tally due to their two silvers and one bronze. The women’s Under 18 segment was won by Ladies’ College, who bagged three golds.

In the schoolboy and schoolgirl categories Visakha Vidyalaya (one gold) and St. Joseph’s College (one gold) tore away to victory.
