Old Thomians’ Swimming Club (OTSC) hosted the St. John’s College Under-19 cricket team for dinner at their club house last Tuesday under the patronage of S. Thomas’ College Sub Warden Rev. Marc Billimoria.

This was in connection with the traditional schools cricket encounter between S. Thomas’ and St. John’s being resumed after three decades, after the end of the civil war.

The match between the two schools was first played in 1967 under then S. Thomas’ Warden A.J.C. Selvaratnam who was an old boy and the Chaplain of St. John’s College.

This was the first occasion S. Thomas’ hosted the encounter after the game being revived in 2011 in Jaffna. Members of OTSC Dulip Soysa, Sasi Ganeshan and Yogen Wilson were also present at the occasion.
