Lyceum Academy Records Outstanding Performance at UCMAS National Finals
View(s):The Lyceum Academy proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its students at the UCMAS Abacus Programme, National Level Competition, held on 23rd August 2025 at Temple Tree, Colombo.
A total of 107 talented competitors represented Lyceum Academy branches from across the island, demonstrating exceptional skill in arithmetic and mental calculations. Among them, six students distinguished themselves by earning Merit Awards for their remarkable performances: Nethmi Jihansa Jayathilake and Keshani Asheka Silva from Kurunegala, Vivein Rondil Hettiwatte from Nugegoda, and Jenuli Jayasiriwardhana, Shawn Fernando, and Stephanie Fernando from Panadura.
Adding further prestige to the Academy’s success, J. M. D. S. S. Wijesingha from the Kurunegala branch secured the 5th Runner-up position , a commendable accomplishment in such a highly competitive national event.
These achievements showed the hard work, determination, and talent of the students, along with the strong support and guidance given by their dedicated instructors. The Lyceum Academy remains steadfast in its mission to nurture academic excellence and inspire a lifelong love for learning through the UCMAS Abacus Programme.
Looking ahead, Lyceum Academy is thrilled to announce its participation in the UCMAS International Level Competition, scheduled to be held on 6th December 2025 at the Georgian National University SEU, in Georgia.
