Vijaya Vidyalaya scholarship high performers felicitated

Januli Dilenya receives an award from Education Officer Chintha Malalgoda.
A felicitation ceremony was organised by Vijaya Vidyalaya, Welimada to recognise the performance of 126 students who passed the Grade 5 scholarship exam.
The event was organised by Principal R M C Ratnayake, along with teachers and parents.
Deputy Director of the Welimada Education Zonal Office Chintha Malalgoda and officials attended the ceremony as chief guests.
Among the 126 students of the school who passed the scholarship examination held this year, J M Januli Dilenya, who scored 187 marks, secured the second place in the Uva Province. She was also among the top 10 students from the island.
The students were given prizes and gift certificates by People’s Bank and Bank of Ceylon. - K R Rajamanthri
