JDS scholarships for public sector officers
View(s):The project for human resource development scholarship (JDS) is calling applications from public sector officers for a 2-year master’s degree programme in Japan for the academic year 2026/27.
The applicants should be citizens of Sri Lanka and should have good command of both written and spoken English. They should be “Executives/Senior Executives”, mentioned in the Public Administration Circular No.06/2006, Annexure II, Page 2, IV Senior Level, and Page 5, 3.10 & 3.11.
The eligibility criteria sets out that semi-government staff (Board of Investment, National Building Research Organisation, Central Environmental Authority, National Water Supply and Drainage Board, and Urban Development Authority) can apply under limited components.
Applicants are expected to have a special interest in studying in Japan as well as motivation to utilise their experience and human network development trough JDS in their career.
Priority areas of the scholarship programme include public policy, international relations and development, macroeconomics, public finance and investment management, and industry development and investment promotion.
Applicants should access the JDS website and download the application form and other designated forms, fill the application and arrange all the required documents and submit them through relevant ministry or organisation.
The deadline for application is Friday, October 31.
