Kesara and Sandaruwan steer St. Joseph’s

Under 13 Cricket

Half tons by Kesara Kumaraperuma and Sandaruwan Rodrigo helped St. Joseph’s to record a comfortable 112 runs win over DSS in a pre-quarter final encounter of the Under 13 Western Province 30 over tournament at Darley Road yesterday.

Josephian juniors taking first lease of the wicket made a formidable 180 with DSS being able to muster only 68 runs with Havin Perera doing the damage with impressive figures of 5 for 11. With this win they advance to the quarter finals.

St. Joseph’s 180 for 8 in 30 overs (Kesara Kumaraperuma 63, Sandaruwan Rodrigo 54, Nipun Sumanasinghe 14 n.o; Kavin Walagampaha 4 for 35, Janith Gamage 2 for 17)
DSS 68 in 20.3 overs (Janith Gamage 15; Havin Perera 5 for 11, harin Cooray 2 for 16, Plevin Perera 2 for 26)
