Schoolboy hospitalised following alleged assault by Deputy Principal
View(s):A schoolboy of a leading school in Maradana was allegedly assaulted by the Deputy Principal and admitted to hospital, police said. The boy who sustained injuries to his ear was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on Thursday, but got himself transferred to a private hospital the following day.
The incident had occurred near the school entrance when Grade 12 student was caught by the Deputy Principal while entering the school without his hair properly combed. The child’s father had complained to the Maradana police that the Deputy Principal had assaulted his son, while the Principal has lodged a complaint against the child’s father.
Further investigations are being conducted by Maradana police.
