President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed 15 members to the Law Commission, for a period of five years, with Romesh de Silva, P.C. as its Chairman.

Other members of the Law Commission are Palitha Fernando P.C., S. Anil Silva P.C., Manohara de Silva, P.C., Dr Harsha Cabral P.C. , M. Ikram Mohamed P.C. and Sanjeewa Praneeth Jayawardena P.C. and Attorney at law Dr Lakshman Marasinghe’ Dharani S. Wijayatilake, Dr Camena Guneratne, J.M. Swaminathan, N. Selvakumaran, Naveen Surath Marapana, Thisath Wijayagunawardane and G.G. Arulpragasam.
The appointments were effective from March 18, 2015.
