SLIC officials remain amidst corruption claims

Officials of the Federation of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Trade Unions (FSLICTU) were not informed, as of Friday, as to whether top five management officials at the Sri Lanka Insurance including the managing director have been removed or not.
Sarath Nandalal, spokesperson for the Federation told the Business Times that Treasury Secretary P.B. Jayasundera had given an assurance twice that these allegedly, corrupt officials would be sacked by October 31. They had no information on the latest situation.The last assurance was given on October 23 during a meeting between Dr. Jayasundera and the federation.(QP)
