Autodrome PLC promotes eco-friendly range of tyres with brand Ecopia
View(s):The Autodrome PLC, sole importer of Bridgestone tyres, is promoting the concept of safety, reliability and eco-friendliness by introducing a range of Ecopia tyres, company officials said.
Ecopia comes for each type of vehicle and its ‘rolling resistance’ is a key to reduce carbon dioxide CO2 emission during usage of tyres. Bridgestone through its innovative technology has combined silica along with a coupling agent that reduces energy and in turn improves rolling resistance Autodrome PLC, officials explained.

The Autodrome PLC launched its newest additions to their tyre range, Bridgestone Ecopia at a ceremony held in Colombo.
The new range of ECOPIA tyres includes the EP150 and EP200, for use on small to medium-size passenger cars, and the EP850 for sports utility vehicles (SUV) and crossover utility vehicles CUV). All three products now made available islandwide. The EP150, EP200 and EP850 tyres are a range of new and improved products that have been developed to better suit the needs of its consumers and the environment. Ecopia tyres can travel a longer distance with the same amount of energy as opposed to a conventional tyre, hence saving on fuel consumption, Jeremy Aloysius – Joint Managing Director of the Autodrome PLC said.
