Dickwella Resort welcomes festive season with cake ceremony

Dickwella Resort & Spa in southern Sri Lanka, was first off the tracks to herald the 2013 festive season, holding the traditional Christmas cake mixing ceremony on October 12.

Manager Mirza Borham and Executive Chef Priya Abeyesinghe together with other hotel officials and guests took part in a ceremony that takes place annually in most hotels.

All ingredients of the cake were beautifully arranged to depict the hotel’s classic logo, the entwining palm trees signifying the allure of island life, according to a hotel media release. Mr. Borham said the hotel is well prepared to give its patrons the true hospitality they deserve, as ‘we look forward to much awaited Christmas and New Year celebrations’.
