cricket captain of the school for the 2013/14 season from his cricketing hero. The 11-year-old wicketkeeper/batsman has been a keen fan of Tillekeratne Dilshan ever since he launched his junior cricket career at The British School in Colombo under the guidance of the school head coach Aruna Batapolarachchi.

Rahul Radesh, who was born in Sri Lanka to Indian parents, is one of the most talented players on the international school circuit, having scored the first ever century for The British School in Colombo during their Under-13 tournament match against I Gate College recently. The elegant lefthander smashed 108 runs from just 80 deliveries in this 30-over encounter as he brought his overall aggregate to over four hundred runs in the concluded Under-13 tournament.

He has also amply displayed his wicketkeeping prowess apart from his batting skills, having held on to five victims behind the stumps in another Under-13 fixture against Devapathiraja College Rathgama. – NA
