St Joseph’s College trounced Sri Jayewardenepura MV on the first innings to register their third win in the All Island Under 13 Division one tournament game played at Kotte.

Sent into bat the home team was bundled out for just 41 runs with the Josephian spinners Nipun Sumanasinghe, Jehan Fernandopulle and Sheahan Rodrigo sharing the wickets.

In reply the Josephians made a quick fire 138 for 01 declared with Opener Revan Kelly stroking a fluent unbeaten 53 and Jehan Daniel smashing an unbeaten 55 in just 35 balls that included three sixes and seven fours. The game was called off at 1.50 due to a heavy downpour.
