The Northshore College of Business and Technology, which is a premier institution for internationally recognized British Degree Programmes for students in Sri Lanka, launches a Competency Development Program (CDP) for the students who have completed their Advanced Level examinations and awaiting results.

The objective of this course is to develop Knowledge, Proficiency, and Skills expected from a school leaver in order to face the challenges successfully in pursuing higher education or competing for suitable employment.

The course is designed to enhance the participants’ communication and life skills, improve their English and IT skills, prepare them to deal with the challenges in higher education, enable them to become accustomed towards working environments, assist them to identify their career path and aspirations whilst developing their proficiency and talents.

Your achievement…

Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be able to think logically and innovatively, evaluate the issues they face critically and skillfully to draw conclusions, communicate their ideas effectively, present themselves more professionally and confidently, use various methods to cope with crises situations, and nurture social and business culture in their life.

During the eight week long course students will learn the above skills and proficiencies in a student friendly university environment using modern teaching learning methods. In addition to individual classroom learning, students will have the opportunity to engage in interactive work in groups developing coping up and leadership skills. Case studies and role plays will be used to infer practical application of the desired skills. Attention will be paid especially to grooming the participant well fit to the society and its expectations. The resource persons of this course are having exposition at state universities.
