Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry to look for Olympic-level athletes

Cabinet this week approved a proposal presented by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports to implement the “Mission Olympics 2028 – Journey to the Rings” to identify athletes who have shown exceptional talent and those who have possible Olympic hopes for the future.
Such athletes will be contracted until the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games and provided with the necessary financial and other support for their training.
It is expected to identify these athletes who have the potential and skills to achieve international success and win medals at the Olympic Games and enroll them for long-term, formal local and foreign specialist training.
