Australasian Academy Expands Global Pathways for Hospitality Students with Strategic MOUs in Australia

Australasian Academy (AA), a leading higher education and professional skills development institute, has strengthened its global footprint by signing two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with Mantle Group Hospitality, one of Australia’s largest and most respected employers of culinary talent.

Mantle Group Hospitality operates some of Australia’s most iconic hospitality brands, including Pig ‘N’ Whistle, Babylon, Jimmy’s On The Mall, and more. This collaboration opens exciting international pathways for AA’s Hospitality and Commercial Cookery students, enabling them to begin their studies in Sri Lanka and continue their educational and professional journey in Australia.

Global Opportunities for Aspiring Hospitality Professionals

Under these agreements, students gain access to:

  •  Structured training visas to pursue hands-on industry experience in Australia
  •  Further academic progression through Mantle Group’s in-house Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Mayfair College
  •  Opportunities for real-world exposure, industry immersion, and long-term career development

For students who meet the required eligibility criteria, these pathways may also lead to work visas and, ultimately, permanent residency in Australia.

A Shared Commitment to Excellence

Speaking about the partnership, a representative from Australasian Academy stated:

“These agreements are a testament to AA’s mission of delivering globally relevant, values-driven vocational education. By partnering with Mantle Group Hospitality, we are creating life-changing opportunities for our students to gain international exposure, develop their careers, and achieve their ambitions.”

The MOUs were officially signed in Brisbane, in the presence of Mantle Group CEO Arj Rupesinghe, Organisation Development Leader Karl Zielke, Kalum De Silva Managing Director Australasian Academy  and Training & Compliance Manager Alison Clare Garner.

Building on a Strong Foundation

Australasian Academy continues to deliver globally recognised ANIBT qualifications in Sri Lanka through a long-standing academic partnership. The addition of Mantle Group pathways builds on this foundation, enabling students to:

  •  Access international industry placements
  • Enhance employability through skill-focused learning
  •  Pursue career advancement in Australia’s thriving hospitality sector

This strategic collaboration underscores AA’s commitment to empowering students with global opportunities while maintaining its core values of dignity, purpose, and performance.

Looking Ahead

Australasian Academy expressed its gratitude to Mantle Group Hospitality for their trust and partnership, reaffirming its dedication to supporting students as they take bold steps toward international careers.

This milestone represents a significant leap forward for Sri Lankan students seeking global exposure, industry-relevant qualifications, and sustainable career pathways in the international hospitality arena.
