The Sri Lanka women’s volleyball team, comprising 14 players, will vie for the Central Asia Women’s Challenge Cup to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from May 22 to 28. Sri Lankan women spikers, who are in Group ‘B’ will face off Uzbekistan in their opening game on May 22 and will go on to play Kazakhstan on May 23, before taking on Maldives on May 24.

Hosts and defending champions Nepal, who are in ‘Group A’ are slotted alongside Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh and India. The grand final will be played on May 28. Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, Dialog Axiata PLC has come forth to power the national women’s volleyball team for the competition in Nepal.
