According to a communique issued by SLR applicants should possess specified professional qualifications, mostly World Rugby certified qualification.

The Head Coach’s position require the candidate to be an experienced World Rugby Level III coach who had worked previously with a national, club or school side and being a former player could come in as an added advantage.

In addition SLR is also in the hunt for a Backs Coach and a Forwards Coach with at least World Rugby Level II coaching accreditation. Among other positions to be filled are Physiotherapist, Masseur and Strength and Conditioning Trainer, with different levels of World Rugby FAIR and NVQ qualifications.

However, it does not mention if the positions are only for local applicants or if even foreigners could apply.
