Supun is perched comfortably on top

BATA-the Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year Contest 2011

Thurstanite Supun Navaratne seems to be consolidating his position at the end of the 6th count of the Sunday Times-Bata Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer All Island Contest. At the end of this count Navaratne literally has doubled his vote base with a haul of 1019 votes at this count and is with a total poll of 2114 votes.

At the second place is Royalist Ramith Rambukwella who also now has gone over the four figure mark to end with 1214 votes.

Royal Panadura’s Charitha Ruchiranga leads the Emerging Cricketer section with 196 votes while his team mate Kavindu Ashan Perera has moved into the second position with 138 votes.
In the International section Gavitha Wickremasinghe of Lyceum International –Wattala is at the top position with 76 votes against his name, but he is challenged by Mohammed Azher Samsoodeen of Leighton Park International School who is not far behind with 62 votes.
